Dr Brody Foy
is a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts
General Hospital. He did his DPhil (PhD) at the University of Oxford, as
a Rhodes Scholar, is a QUT mathematics graduate, and former QUT
STIMulate Peer Learning Facilitator. In this webinar with Brody, learn more about his journey.
As
a researcher, Brody uses multi-faceted computational techniques to
explore how acute inflammatory events (heart attack, stroke, covid-19
infection, etc.) alter the hematologic, cardiac, and pulmonary systems,
and how dysfunctions interact across bodily scales (i.e.
genome, cell, organ, population). His research is focused on generating
mechanistic insights into the human inflammatory response which can be
translated into clinical diagnostic tools.
