In Part 2 of Session 4, Pat Loria [Charles Sturt University] discusses Altmetrics as Indicators of Public Impact. His presentation explores the new alternative impact metrics, called ‘altmetrics’, which measure public impact via the social web. Altmetrics are made freely available to researchers for monitoring and reporting, and for embedding into online CVs and institutional repositories.
