Ata Tara explains his research into conflicts in urban environments related to visual amenity, many of which have gone to the Queensland Planning and Environment Court. He gives us a brief introduction to his work that uses a GIS database to categorise over 250 court cases in Brisbane City and selects particular cases for further analysis of their bulk, height and scale of development.
